How do all these VC++ runtimes play together?  Is just the latest one good enough, or do you end up needing all the sort of annual variants?

Kirk:

Typically, you only need the one for the compiler used. Gearotic uses one, and Vexx another while Auggie shares Vexx's.
You normally never need to worry about it again if bitten, and most who have any number of apps will have copies of each
installed anyway, I guess its why it rarely comes up.

Hi All:

An updated version of the clubfoot has been published. A video showing its usage is here..

Hi Art,
After an incredible amount of trial and error (failure )  I have been able to get  msvcr120.dll back on my computer and get this club footed to work.

Many thanks and Merry Christmas

I'll post some photos once I make some cuts

I am an amateur watchmaker and work mainly on pocket watches. I created a Hamilton gear train in Gearotic and used a pinwheel type escapement. After a bit of research, I was able to go into Vexx and replace a gear that was the escapement with the club foot escapement I  Vexx.  All good, however, i was really looking placing a full escapement with a balance and roller table all moving within Gearotic. I then discovered Auggie.  It was not integrated into Gearotic or Vexx,  but it provided the ability to fully simulate an escapement. I have not don't this yet, however I will start this week. Now the challenge is to somehow get this escapement into Vexx or directly into my Hamilton gear train. Here is the youtube of the Hamilton gear train I created only days after purchasing Gearotic. The long term aim is to be able to cut vintage gears.

Thanks for the video, its nice to see such a project work.

You will have trouble using Auggies simulator, it can be done, others have also done
clockworks in it, but Auggies simulator was an experiment I ran to see what things I
would have to worry about if I underwent a project for gear simulation using physics
rather than linkage ratio timing.
As such its a little unweildly. I am currently investigating that topic for a proposed
future expansion but it will be some time before one will be released.  I have a few
requests for orrery and rotating planet capability and I hope to do something this year
in that area.

Good work on the watch..
