Ticker won’t run
Ticker won’t run
I have a fresh install of Ticker on Windows 10 that doesn’t start. No error messages on screen but there are in the log file which I could not attach for some reason but the output is below. Any help would be appreciated

I just uploaded a new version ( same version number) that expands the errors in that section a bit. Can you try it and let me know what it says?
So far, the problem appears to be your video card rejecting the main vertex shader. I have no other reports of that happenign as of yet, can you let me know what video card this is?

I downloaded and reinstalled the Windows 10 msi. Tried to open ticker and below is the content of the log file. It looks pretty much the same to me, have I got the right version?
Also the graphics card is an old HP laptop one intel hd graphics 3000. All the latest drivers are install and all the levels of acceleration are enabled. I am also using the up to date version 12 direct x

Thanks, it did update, more error granularity, your error points to the PBRVertextShader.cso not loading properly with an error of Invalid_Argument.
This error I think is due to the graphics card not being able to properly run 5.0 shaders in DirectX. I'm searching for a solution that
would confirm this, though I dont think Ill be able to find one that solves it. I suspect highly DirectX12 is required, even though the code
is mostly based on Dx11. Ill repost if I can find supporting evidence of this, my wifes old HP system runs it fine, but it may have higher capabilities,
Ill check on that.

Sorry, but it seems the HP 3000 graphics card will only support shader model 3.0, so its a bit behind on the model required for
Ticker.

On the plus side you can have Windows 11 before W10 goes poof. My 2016 i5-5200u laptop, and i5-6500 desktop will be suffering the same fate, some days I think it's an evil plan to keep the chip makers chipping along as I'm forced to chip in for new chips
