I got back to making some clocks for an upcoming arts and craft sidewalk event in June. I messed around with various ideas and came up with this design. It was challenging because the vining is very thin and will break with little effort. I made a poster board sample to see if there were  nay hiccups in the dxf file I created.  I am going to mount the wood version on a wood backing. I should have it done in a day or two.
I love my laser! The picture speaks for itself.

Thanks Bob.
Today I decided that I wanted to make some clock hands. I was going to machine them but decided instead to laser cut them. I measured the clock mechanism and created a dxf file. I then modified the openings  for the minute and hour hand shafts. I usually subtract .005 for the beam width. I laser cut the hand out of thin maple. They fit perfectly and I think they came out sweet. Now I just need  a few parts to finish this project.
