Back in 2007 Art had the foresight to write the Impact / Laser Photo Engraving plugin for Mach3 at a time when very few of us had lasers to try it out.
Although busy with his Gearotic Motion software, Art spent precious time towards the end of November 2010 rewriting some of the Engraver code to correct the previously known issues and as a result it became a real pleasure to use. He also made the source code freely available to us all so that we could customize our user interface and if required, make subtle changes to the way in which the code is executed etc.
Over just a few years the inevitable evolution in the computing world saw the demise of the Parallel Port and as the PP was a necessary part of the Engravers operation it too, unfortunately, faded into disuse.
Thank you Art for your foresight in writing this plugin and all the other innovative software you have written which has stretched all our imagination and skills, you are a genius my friend.

A step back in time.
Re: A step back in time.
Hi Tweaky:
That brings back memories. :). Ive been thinking of doing some more engraving here as well soon,
I haven't used my laser much lately, I kind of miss them. :) 3d Printing has taken so much air out of CNC's
sails these days. Ahh, the good old days, it was quite a time...
