Shaft position dxf.

Post by mphil »

Hi all
my next question  ;D

I'm trying to save my shaft positions in DXF. so I can draw out a nice frame for my Skeleton clock project. Unfortunately when I load the DXF. file in to either Corel or Fusion I see the whole clock layout! I'm only wanting the shaft positions and deleting all the on screen components to leave the shaft positions only is a royal pain. I see in on one of the tutorial vids that this can be done but I've yet to do it.

Please help.

Hi Mark:

One option is to make a tabbed box for the clock, not that you want a box, but
when you make a front plate, all the shafts leave a hole in the front plate, so by
printing or putting out the front plate as a dxf, you get all the shaft holes without
the gears shown as the shafting dxf does...

Yet again Art a point in the right direction worked a treat. Now I have everything I need to create my clock.

Many thanks
