Rotary table backlash and gear making

I successfully used a cheap timing belt driven RT to make a 17 tooth gear.It has zero backlash.
Today I was playing with my much larger 6" Phase 2 RT that is belt driven through a 90/1 worm drive. As hard as I tried to adjust the phase 2 backlash it would either bind or have some rotational backlash. Not much but I can see that any play would cause  a gear tooth to be miss shaped. How are you guys eliminating the backlash on those wpork drive type RT?

When backlash seems an issue, make the tooth width slightly smaller.. ITs default is .5 ( 50%) of the tooth space as tooth, 50% as space. Set the width to .48 or so to make it mesh looser..
