Just a few suggestio ns to help clarify the naming of escapemen t component s for output.

In the Project Database a simple "Graham Pend Arc" escapemen t clearly shows two shafts.   The one shaft has the "anchor", yet it doesn't show up in the object list.  The other has the "escape wheel" which it incorrect ly calls the "escapemen t".   The escapemen t is the entire mechanism which includes the anchor on the other shaft.

It would be nice if both the anchor and the escape wheel showed up in the database and were named independe ntly.   I believe what we have now is roughly equivalen t to naming a steering wheel as a "car".

Perhaps properly identifyi ng each component in the database will move us closer to solving the missing anchors in 1:1 Print output?

 Thanks for the suggestio ns. The escapemen t creation tool in GM was purposely done this way to prevent anyone in making changes once the escapemen t design is created. You'll see if you generate the DXF's of the escapemen t (as we call it)  through the output manager, it does create the pawl (Escapemen t-2D-Pawl.dxf) and the deadbeat gear itself  (Escapemen t-2D.dxf) as two separate items in your output folder plus the side plates for proper shaft holes location in your clock. Any changes to either of these items (deadbeat/pawl) once created will cause them not to work properly. This concept is explained on the video's, in the help tutorial included in GM, and was discussed earlier on the forum group during it's design. I believe it is properly named once you know how it must work.

 Also as to the request of 1:1 printing, only a few users use this methodolo gy and problem wasn't brought to our attention until recently. We are looking into what's possible and what isn't, hopefully we will report our findings soon.

Hi:

   Actually the nomenclat ure is right, just contextua l. Inside the system, the pawl doesnt exist, nor does the deadbeat gear, they comprise one whole assembly
called internall y as the escapemen t. It considers the whole thing as an escapemen t. The database shows two shafts because it knows both exists. The output
module however, see's onthe the "escapment" comprisin g of all component s.. Thats why the duality in the naming.. Wen outputing the batch operator should
see all component s and output them.. obviously a small bug there somewhere ..
  A grasshopp er for example does the same thing, and it has several component s and shafts.. its why I tried to keep it simple, I designed it to see an
escapemen t as one object as best it can, to allow for future more complex mechanism s without making the engine too complex to use.

Anyway, I ll get that fixed up soon in the output dxf's.. not a very complex one I suspect..
