Hi Art,
For some reason the shaft diameter can't be changed if I'm working on a ratchet.  If I go the the spur gears everythin g is fine but I can't get the diameter to change to what I want on the ratchet.

Is it just me?

Hi Art,
I've downloade d 4.66 - thanks for the quick action.  The shaft diameter changes work well in the default project however when I go small in producing  a ratchet I still have a problem.

The little ratchet I'm producing is 1" outside diameter which with 6 teeth and a 6 pitch is what I want.  Then I need a 0.375" shaft and it won't generate (relativel y a huge shaft).  Here is the code I've produced.

Perhaps I've just exceeded the limits of the program?

John

John:

You did exceed it. If you redownloa d youll find you no longer do. Ive relaxed the autoinhib it for shaft size, so give it a shot now, but
be carefull the shaft isnt larger than the gear. Smiley

Hi Art,
Many thanks - it works for me now.
The photo shows what I made - a 6 tooth 1 inch ratchet with a 3/8" shaft.  I used three shear pins to hold it to the wind drum.
Thanks again
