«

Hello,
I can't find a way to place the pinion with another "z" parameter than the wheel...
I want to try a "planetary gear with differenc
es in gear's thickness
..but the alignemen
t procedure always put me the "middle of the thickness" of the pinion with the one of the wheel.
Thanks 4 help.

Hi:
I think I see what your trying to do..
Im afraid thats one of the simulatio
n things where you have to picture what would happen. The program knows that
any gear that drives another will have to mesh so it meshes it on center by default. Not doing so woudl screw up
other types of simulatio
ns. The simulator, while pretty powerfull, is limited in some types of work. Its the reason
you cannot lock one of the planetary gears for example which would force the entire geared mechanism to rotate.
( Though allowing that IS on my developme
nt list and laready rughed in the code to a certain extent.)
Thx
