Tried to work around this a number of ways but have not found one that works - tried turning off DEP, compatibi lity modes, etc. all to no avail. I can get 3d output but no 2d output without an immediate BEX error.  I installed an older version of GM on an external drive and received the same error.  Any thoughts?

BEX events occur when the buffer overflows and the Win7 DEP steps in and stops the program.  I am receiving the error on my laptop and desktop (both quad-core win7 machines with tons of RAM) so I'm guessing it is an issue with GM and win7.  I'll keep playing around with it and see what I find.

Hi Brian:

Ive never seen a BEX error, the only issue with Win7, is that SGCore uses a font call that requires the
progrm to be run with right-click/run as admin in order to properly administe r the font access. Are you running in Admin mode?
A web search shows me BEX errors, but usually in the context of some other program, this is the first Ive heard of an error of that type,
it may be related to some other software running.. thats typical when a user gets it on multiple machines as that person tends to have similar software on all machines. Let me know if you see anything that can help me track it down for you.

Thx

I tried tried running as admin with no change - when I start to export a 2d file the blue bar moves about 1/4 distance and then I get the "program has stopped working" dialogue box with this descripti on-

I'll keep troublesh ooting this end-  the main reason this is an issue is that I only have the 2d version of PartWorks and the 3d dxf (which do export) seems to have problems with the 3d dxfs.
