Hi Art & Bob,
I'm having new problems with this feature and v4.26.
I'm working in inch mode, so I specify a DP of 25.4 which is a Module of 1.0. The same DP/Module is specified in both the Epy and Lantern panels.
I start a new project and create a 147T Epy gear. I then create an 11T Cage to mesh with it. When I try to place the cage in the project I get "Differing Module on this gear".
Rounding errors?

Ken;
I'll let Art answer you on this one but the error your having is caused from a different gear type while attemptin
g to mesh. I know work is being done to allow this under certain condition
s, but obviously not perfected yet if at all possible to do.

Hi Ken:
Yup, you hit it on the head. The module of the cage was .99999999
99 and the epi was 1.0 .. so a mismatch.
I chnaged the code to allow up to a .2 variation in module. ( All internal checks are in module..n
ot dp which is why the
conversio
n caused a rounding. In actual fact differing modules will mesh if the differenc
e is small, so Ill allow up to a .5 module differenc
e in the next release.
( I know you need it so Ill try for this evening to update..I
ll let you know when its up. )
Thx
