Hello!

Awesome program!
I just about have my first clock ready to cut!

I have a simple 120 tooth gear(one of my clock gears)
The saved DXF file is made up of lines, and is 348k. When imported
to a CAD package, its kinda clustered as there is so many lines, so
I've converted them to curves with minimal distortio n. Would it be
possible to have Gearotic output the DXF files with Arcs/Bezier
curves? After conversio n, the file is 59k.

Also in the proto-type I did cut, You can actually make out the lines
in the cut out gears. (before I realized it was all lines - Still learning)

Thanks for a great program!
Chris

Hi Chris:

It may happen some day, but at the moment, the core I use would have difficult y with the beziers.
It woudl make things a bit smoother ( You can do that as well by specifyin g a smaller point distance in the setup),
but some would have trouble as well as bezier imports suffer on some cad packages. I will add it to my list though
to consider in future upgrades.

Glad your having fun, I hope to make it more fun as I go. Smiley
