One of the other gear programs has a zero spoke option, where they cut an empty space - just a hub and rim with teeth - to allow laminated gears with thinner spokes.  This looks like a pretty useful option, assuming it wouldn't be too hard to add.  The output manager might be a reasonabl e place, since it wouldn't require extra gears in a project for the with and without versions.

It might be handier with tabs  Smiley

Perhaps this should be a separate topic, but what does the gear point distribut ion actually do.  are the units in mm, the selected units, or something else?  How does it affect stl files?

 Good idea for a decorativ e look, but this could also jeopardiz e strength of gear in motion if too thin...
