I could really use the ability to make an internal gear with teeth on the outside too. It would be best if they could have different module and pressure angles. If there is any way to do that it would be great. Thanks for a great program!

Hi;

 At this point it isn't possible to do in one step with Gearotic Motion but can easily be done using CAD software with a 2D dxf. Simply create the internal gear and then the outside gear and overlay both removing the inner ring on the outside gear and the outer ring on the inside gear. I will add your suggestio n to the wish list, who knows maybe someday it will appear.

Cheers

Bob's right on the money here. While I dont put out such things as you describe, one of the reasons I put out the dxf's is so that one can play with the output in CAM. I tend to use Vectrix ( one of the best on the market to my mind) , and it will allow for all such mixtures and joining.

Thanks, I was planning on doing that for cutting but I was hoping to be able to visualize it moving. I was able to figure out a visualiza tion workaroun d though. It just takes a little tweaking to fit the inside and outside gears. Also placing gears on a new shaft when needed. Here is an example if anyone is intereste d.

Cool video. I was suprised when I played around with these types of gears also how simple a reduction ratio can be obtained.

Well done.
