Hi Guys:

 Just a progress notice. Here's a video fo the first two meshed bevels, 90 degree, 22 and 15 tooth.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JER7hvuiJHY

Ive made quite  afew changes ot the engines, and I have more to make. Selecting gears is easier even
on rotated screens, coloured backgroun d..etc..

 Still be a little while before release, so I thought you might want to see if things are moving along..

 Hi Guys;

 Had the pleasure to hang out with Art yesterday and with much optimism wanted to update everyone on the progress of GM V2. All I can say is it's going to allow for funky looking gear boxes.. I'm very impressed with the full 3D concept, bevels on how they look and work in GM at the moment, although some work is still needed for full functiona lity and many of the (wish list/bugs) reports have been implement ed or addressed . My personal view is that most will like it, and is second to none to any other gear template generator I've ever seen. We do not have a set release date as of yet but will eventuall y post a tentative one as we get closer to a stable and full functiona l platform. Stay tuned....

Cheers

Will this version support helical bevel gears?

Hi:

 Yes, helical, zerol and straight bevels are being added. For technical reasons I had to update the display engine
to full 3d capabilit y though, so the next release will probably display and create bevels, but with no way to Gcode them till subsequen t releases. .
