The Zebra inlay is very nice. Maybe when I grow up I will be able to do it as nicely as you have.

Nice work David.
It could be used for many different things besides clocks as well.

To add to the two posts above, if they can't help you I am sure that either myself or one of the other people on this or many other forums will help.
Ask specific questions if you can and if not ask questions anyway and we will all try to get you where you need to be going.
If you search the many forums for any one of our screen names you will see that we all have a history of helping out and NOT trying to make people look like fools. Since there is no way to read facial expressio ns or body language or facial expressio ns a lot of the meaning can get lost or misinterp reted.

Here is to another great day of sinking more time and money into my Favorite winter hobby! CNC

Hi Guys,
When I do a build log should I just continue here or is there a better place.

Only the last two settings got anywhere near the 1180 ipm.
I will shoot for as fast as I can go without resorting to anything silly.

Todays question;
What king of axis speed should I be shooting for?
I am thinking that 300 IPM should be more than fast enough but I would like the skinny from the experienc ed laser users.

Doesn't look like the extruder head is available from the Prusa website.

Hi Kirk,
Thanks for the informati on. I am going to pursue the DIY version for now because I like making things. If I fail miserably then I will take your advice and purchase the E3D.

Hopefully I will make enough progress on the rest of the machine to worry about the print head in earnest.

I have the Pokeys talking to Auggie on my laptop!!!!!!!! Grin

Next up is to try it on some other computers including the nice one I am going to actually run the machine with.

Hi Art,
I am on a journey of discovery and of hair loss! Grin

I received my 57CNC today and while I am not thrilled at how it was shipped in a bubble wrap envelope  Roll Eyes  I have contacted the seller to see if I should test it or return it. Still waiting on the connector s so I can get going with the wiring.

I took a look through the manual for the Pokeys board and I am fairly impressed at how well it is written. Only time will tell if I can actually make it work by reading the manual.

Back to making stuff work.
